London is one of the world's great cultural, financial and historic centres.

The site is strategically positioned on London's highly fashionable and sought after "Southbank". It is also well positioned for access to London's West End and the financial districts of the City of London and Canary Wharf.

The site is bounded by Blackfriars Road, Upper Ground, Rennie Street and Stamford Street within the London Borough of Southwark.

At 51O30'27N, One Blackfriars shares the same latitude as The Ritz Hotel, St James's Square and Trafalgar Square in the West End.

Residential

In the last 10 years, Southbank has flourished as a place to live. Demand has been driven by the area's cultural diversity, which has led to a rapid growth in residential property values, particularly when in close proximity to the River Thames.

Culture and Amenities

London's Southbank has rapidly become one of the most popular tourist and cultural areas of central London. The ability to walk, traffic free, from Westminster Bridge in the west to Tower Bridge in the East is a key to its success. As a result, global attractions such as the EDF Energy London Eye, Shakespeare's Globe and the Tate Modern are located here.

For amenities, whether it's the humdrum of Gabriel's Wharf or fine dining at the OXO Tower, restaurants and bars are plentiful and popular.

Commerce

As well as being a key tourist destination, Southbank is also very popular for business, with the Mayor of London's offices being close to Tower Bridge. In addition to this, IBM and The London Television Centre are based just to the west of One Blackfriars and in 2008 Land Securities completed its new Bankside 1/2/3 office campus, home to RBS and National Magazines.
